Two options are available with Calamity Creek for a horseback vacation in the mountains. Our front country horseback adventures consist of daily rides from our Hungry Creek Lodge. You and your guide will travel by horseback from the Hungry Creek stable through timbered old growth forests, along pristine mountain streams, and into alpine meadows. Front country rides are 2 to 4 hours in length along groomed horse trails over gentle terrain. Front country rides are most suitable for novice and beginning trail riders, or for clients whose preference is to include other activities into their mountain vacation (fishing, rafting, hiking, swimming).

Our adventure area is accessed via Cranbrook, British Columbia. Daily flights from Calgary and Vancouver International Airports connect to Cranbrook. Clients may also travel by vehicle to Cranbrook through AB, MT, WA, or ID. Calgary is approximately 4.5 hours. Kalispel, MT and Spokane WA both have airports that are serviced daily from most US centers. Approximate drive times are 2.5 hours from Kalispel and 3.5 hours from Spokane.
